Kids love the tactile experience of squishing pulp, turning the handle, and watching their creations emerge. The open-ended nature of CUBCHO offers endless possibilities, keeping little hands busy and minds engaged for hours on end.
In early 2022, while working on my design degree and taking care of my one-year-old son, I wanted a project we could enjoy together. I turned to paper—a safe, versatile material—and discovered my son’s joy in playing with water and tearing paper. This sparked an idea.
Shaping paper pulp was challenging, so I started developing different tools to make it easier. That’s how Cubcho was born.
Introducing Cubcho at Dutch Design Week 2022, where over 300 kids and adults made their cubes, affirmed its potential. Since then, Cubcho has made many friends: children and adults, including teachers, caregivers, and artists.
After two years, 17 prototypes, multiple workshops and thousands of cubes made, we are ready to present the best of the best versions of Cubcho.
